About Us
Located in Board of Education District 5 and KCS Region 1, Farragut High School—named after native Admiral David Farragut—has proudly served the community since 1904.
Farragut stands as a world-class institution committed to integrity and excellence across academics, athletics, and the arts. With just over 2,000 students enrolled, the school is ranked #13 in Tennessee and has earned designation as a Tennessee STEM School. It offers an impressive 61 Advanced Placement and honors courses and has produced 68 National Merit Finalists in the past five years. Farragut has also been recognized as a Tennessee Department of Education “Reward School” every year since 2018.
The mission of Farragut High School is to inspire lifelong learners, effective communicators, collaborative teammates, creative problem solvers, and community-minded citizens—equipping students to excel both within the classroom and beyond.
